Paul cautions the Corinthian Christians to not "receive the grace of God in vain" by distorting it or underestimating its power.
He also instructs them that they should not have deep relationships with non-believers because they are now the dwelling place of God (God's temple) and this should be the most important thing in their life.

Paul tells us that true Followers of Jesus are Ambassadors for Him. This is both a great privilege and responsibility that we should take very seriously.
As believers we need not fear the punishment of God, but can see and even address God as Father (who offers us His love through His Grace, shown in His Son). He helps us see things from a heavenly point of view and not a worldly view.
